The one thing that has always baffled me about the European Union, is how they try and unite a hodge-podge of countries which despise each other, when all they really want to do is carry on doing things their<\/em> way and never take orders from anyone. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n They clearly have three goals within the EU:<\/p>\n 1. To make pots of money from that\u00a0expensive\u00a0Euro (what a great excuse to raise the price of a coffee from 50 cents to $10);<\/p>\n 2. To have a powerless European governance system and keep things exactly as they have always been<\/em> at the local level;<\/p>\n 3. To beat the Americans at golf \u00a0every two years (even though the Irish don’t need any continental help in that regard).<\/p>\n
