{"id":1207,"date":"2013-10-25T12:47:00","date_gmt":"2013-10-25T12:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/projects\/horsesforsources\/who-wants-to-be-friends_102513\/"},"modified":"2013-10-25T12:47:00","modified_gmt":"2013-10-25T12:47:00","slug":"who-wants-to-be-friends_102513","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.horsesforsources.com\/who-wants-to-be-friends_102513\/","title":{"rendered":"Who wants to be friends?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14537\" title=\"Let's be friends\" src=\"http:\/\/www.horsesforsources.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Lets-be-friends.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"575\" height=\"431\" \/>My good pal Vinnie Mirchandani <a href=\"http:\/\/dealarchitect.typepad.com\/deal_architect\/2013\/10\/social-networks-and-innovation-content.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">just blogged<\/a>\u00a0about how we can add so much to our lives by looking beyond\u00a0Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Quora, Pinterest etc to find value from our networks, when it comes to learning new ideas and gleaning knowledge. \u00a0He mentions going to more events, getting more magazine subscriptions on your iPad, going to the book store&#8230; I would go further and encourage us all \u00a0just\u00a0to make more of an effort to meet and talk! \u00a0You can&#8217;t beat sharing knowledge with each other as the best way to learn something new&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I was having a drink with an old friend recently and that person said something that make me think; \u00a0&#8220;Everyone knows you, but very few people actually know Phil the person&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>It really him home that I was electronically famous (or notorious) but few people actually know me to hang out \/ have drinks \/ shoot the sh*t etc<\/p>\n<p>I used to really value my personal relationships but it really dawned on my how superficial so many of my social media relationships were. I&#8217;ve put so much effort into building my electronic network in recent years, and not enough into my personal network.
